Versatile and Durable Flooring for High-Traffic Areas at West Notts College

At West Notts College, we undertook a multifaceted flooring project aimed at enhancing various areas with durable and aesthetically pleasing solutions. Our work spanned classrooms, restrooms, and corridors, each requiring specific materials to meet functional and aesthetic demands.

Preparation: We began the project by pouring screed across all the areas we worked on. This crucial step ensures a smooth and level surface, which is essential for the long-lasting performance and visual appeal of the new flooring installations.

Classrooms: In all the classrooms, we installed black and grey carpet tiles. These tiles are not only stylish and professional in appearance but also highly durable, making them ideal for educational environments with high foot traffic. The carpet tiles provide a comfortable and quiet surface, enhancing the learning environment for students and teachers alike.

Restrooms: For the restrooms, we opted for Cream Safety Vinyl flooring. This material, installed with a cap and cove edge, ensures that the area is completely waterproof and easy to clean. Safety vinyl is a practical choice for restrooms as it provides excellent slip resistance, enhancing the safety and hygiene of these high-use areas.

Corridors: To finish, we installed Forbo Allure Luxury Vinyl Tiles (LVT) in the corridors, choosing the Burnt Oak color. These LVTs offer a high-end look with the durability to withstand the constant foot traffic of busy corridors. The Burnt Oak finish adds warmth and elegance to the space, creating an inviting and professional atmosphere.

Result: The variety of products used in this project—carpet tiles, safety vinyl, and luxury vinyl tiles—demonstrate our commitment to selecting the best materials for each specific area. Each product is chosen for its durability, ease of maintenance, and suitability for high-traffic environments. The result is a cohesive and functional upgrade that enhances the overall look and usability of West Notts College.
