We recently completed Phase 2 of an ongoing flooring refurbishment project at Haydn Primary School in Sherwood, Nottingham. This phase focused on delivering a durable, safe, and visually appealing flooring solution that could withstand the daily demands of a busy school environment.

The project involved a full subfloor overhaul and high-quality finish, including:

• Removal of the existing floor covering and loose concrete

• Application of a solid base layer of screed

• Installation of a liquid damp-proof membrane for long-term moisture protection

• Deep fill screed applied at approximately 30mm to level the subfloor

• Final top coat of finishing screed to create a smooth, even surface

• Installation of JHS carpet tiles, offering both durability and a professional look

• Fitting of Gradus sit-on skirting for a clean, robust edge finish
